So Midnight is my alicorn oc . 3. I kno I probably shouldn't have one but I swear he's not that shitty

(I just realized this but this is the only straight mlp oc I own om g I'm sorry if I dk how to write an actual straight relationship lol)

Personality:

He very serious, but most of the time he acts like a child. Very animated when it comes to expressing emotions. But as a neutral expression, he's calm. Hes also very polite, and he likes being the role model kinda pony. Like, he's chill and all, but he's also a big baby. (That just makes him really good with kids.) He also makes a lot of dad jokes.

Backstory:

Short ver.

•gets cutiemark the night before he leaves for ponyville. He was fixing a watch, while daydreaming. He also misinterpreted his cutiemark, thinking it's because he's good at fixing clocks.
•wanted to join the royal guard
•met a Pegasus in ponyville named Honey Flower and wanted to help her achieve her dream of being flight instructor and falls in love with her and has two kids.
• she has rare wing disease, now she can't follow her dreams
•he created dream sand, allowing ponies to live out their dreams during their sleep. He did all of this for her
•becomes alicorn
•$$$ profit (Jkjk, no he marries her and they all live in a castle, with a daughter and son.)

AU:

The au for which I made him for is practically the same universe as the show. So canterlot, ponyville, and all those other places exist, but the mane 6, celestia, Luna and all of the other ponies you know and love don't.

Also, in this au, dreams are strange phenomenons that went they do happen, no one knows what to do, and they are usually nightmares. Many considered these nightmares to bring bad luck or a warning sign that bad things were going to happen soon.


Long version:

So Midnight was born to this really high class society-type household. His parents were strict, and he was the oldest put of his brothers, which he has three of. His father is a collector of antique clocks, and he also fixes them up to sell at better prices. His Mom runs a successful law firm. Since he came from a family with high standards, he always had an air of regality about him, and was taught that he must always be on his best behavior, and set an example for his brothers. His parents also wanted to make sure that he would end up with "someone of his standards", so they'd constantly be trying to hook him up with other unicorns. At one point he had enough of it all, and began rebeling against his parents. That led to a huge fight between them, to which they responded to by sending him to ponyville to live with a family friend. The night before, however, he was up late, trying to fix a watch that his little brother gave him. In his spare time, he liked to be kept busy, so fixing the watch was a perfect distraction for him. But as he was fixing it, he ended up falling asleep and dreaming about what his life was going to be like in ponyville. At this point he gets his cutiemark. He does misinterpret his cutiemark though. He thinks it represented his ability to fix clocks, when it's actually about his affinity for dreams in general.

While living in ponyville, he ends up meeting a Pegasus named Honey Flower and quickly become the best of friends. They end up spending every second they can with each other. During class, he would get in trouble with the teacher for dreaming about some silly little thing during her lessons. He still ranked top of the class. After about a year together, Midnight finally comes to terms with the fact that he might actually like her. This is also the time where his parents start to but in again and are trying to get him to move back to Canterlot. He fears that he might have to leave Honey Flower, so he decides that it best to confess to her. It works in his favour because she also has feeling for him. He eventually does end up going back to canterlot, but they still kept in touch through letters And the occasional visit. His parents never found out about this.

(He is now a bit older then the main 6)

Midnight eventually joins the royal guards, since he is very practiced in the use of magic. He graduated top in all of his classes, and was quickly accepted in joining the guards. Hes still dreaming/day dreaming alot, since he was often scolded for falling asleep on the job, but he was a well respected pony, if anything. One day, they were sent out to ponyville, and he meets up with Honey Flower while on break. He ends up confessing to her again, but this time he asks her to marry him. That way they could live out one of their dreams together. She agrees, and they get a house together in Ponyville. They end up getting married about a month later.

Sadly, just after their wedding he is sent back to the castle.

(Time passes and they are now around the age of Mr. and Mrs. Cake.)

Midnight was honorably discharged from the royal guards and was sent back home back in ponyville. He now has a daughter named Aroura Blossom (Age: Cmc) and a son named Eclipse Burst (literally a newborn). Honey Flower has a job teaching young pegasai how to fly in a flight school in cloudale. (That was her dream, to be a flight teacher) Shortly After having Eclipse, however, she starts experiencing major pain in her wings. After a trip to the doctor, it's confirmed that she has a degenerative muscle disorder, which makes it exceedingly painful for her to fly, let alone open her wings. This hits her hard, and she quits being a flight teacher, and is soon after plagued with nightmares of the dream she had and lost. After watching his wife give up the dream she loved and have nightmares, Midnight went to work on trying to find something to help her with the nightmares and comes up with an idea.

Dream sand.

At first he tried potions and drinkable solutions but it all ended up just blowing up in his face. Literally. It happened on accident when he found out that sand worked best. Aroura and Eclipse both had brought Sand into the house and split one of Midnight potions. When he realized this and began picking it up, he noticed that the Sand had a different reaction combined with his magic. It cause his kids to fall asleep right in the middle of the floor. He immediately went to work (he put the kids in their rooms first, he wouldn't just leave them on the ground like that) on finding out if it actually worked.

Almost 2 months later and he had done it. He had perfected the magic needed to control dreams. He ends up trying it out first on Honey Flower, and even ends up in her dream watching her have the time of her life as she flew around. He is suddenly pulled out of the dream ,however, to be met with the ruler of equestria, soul Spirit , and is made an alicorn. His job to to spread the magic of dreams to all of the ponies in equestria.

Faults:
He just might care too much. He has a tendency to put others before him, even complete strangers, and that would and has bit him in the ass. He's also short tempered at times.
